How To Track Someone's Phone On Google Maps Without Them Knowing

How To Track Someone On Google Maps Without Them Knowing

If you find yourself needing to track a phone using google maps without someone knowing, your first thought may be to simply obtain the user's login credentials and log in to their Google account. Unfortunately, this will usually alert the person to the fact that someone is tracking them or has logged into their account if they have 2FA enabled. Fortunately, there are other options available that can help you use Google Maps to track someone without them knowing.

How To Track Someone Using Google Maps Without Them Knowing

Using a hidden spy app is the best way to use Google Maps for tracking someone's phone without them knowing. These apps are designed to run in the background and remain undetectable, allowing you to view the person's location. Most of these apps even allow you to monitor a range of other phone activities such as calls, messages, emails, and more.

uMobix logo

I am using uMobix to track my son on google maps without him knowing. I asked to borrow his phone to make a call so I would have plenty of time to get it set up. As it turned out, I was done in about 5 minutes and it was running in stealth mode and completely undetectable by the time I gave it back to him.

uMobix is one of the best spy apps available to track someone on Google Maps. It offers many features that make it an ideal choice for anyone who needs to remain undetected while tracking a person's location.

GPS location tracking allows you to easily keep tabs on the whereabouts of the target phone and you can set up geofences that will alert you when the target enters or leaves certain areas, ensuring that you are always aware of their current location. You can even live stream from the target's phone camera so you can see if they are really where they say they are.

uMobix also provides a screen recorder so you can see exactly what they are doing while using their phone, in addition to being able to monitor other social media platforms such as Snapchat, Telegram, Kik, Skype, Tinder, Line, Viber, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp as well as text messages that have been sent or received. Its keylogger function allows you to see every keystroke made on the device in order to uncover passwords and other sensitive information.

While I started using it to track his location on Google maps, the feature I have found most interesting is the ability to turn on the microphone so I can listen in on his conversations, particularly when I know he will be around someone I do not trust.

My only complaint is that recorded data only stays available for 30 days before it is deleted. But, this is longer on multi-month accounts so I am only taking away a half star.

mSpy logo

mSpy is what I previously used to find my son's location. It is a powerful and reliable spy app and its main features include GPS location tracking, geofencing, screen recorder, keylogger, and various social media monitoring. Using these features, you can effectively and discreetly track the target's movements on a map in real-time, as well as any activities they may be engaging in on their devices. The GPS location tracker also allows you to set up geofences so that you can be alerted when the target enters or leaves certain areas.

With the screen recorder, you can even see what the target is doing even if a hidden messaging app is being used. Additionally, mSpy has a keylogging function that allows you to uncover passwords and other sensitive information simply by seeing the keystrokes made on the mobile device.

While I was happy with mSpy and think it is an excellent way to track someone's location, it does not give users the ability to activate cell phone cameras or turn on microphones which is a significant disadvantage.

Personally, I needed those abilities and that is why I changed to uMobix. But, it was a great app and I never had any issues with it so I would highly recommend it if those features are not important to you.

eyeZy logo

EyeZy was designed to provide an easy way to track someone's location on Google Maps. It features GPS location tracking to keep tabs on the target's location in real-time with the ability to easily set up geofences to alert you when the cell phone enters or leaves certain areas.

There is a screen recorder to let users see what the target is up to and its keylogger function can reveal accounts you didn't know existed.

EyeZy also offers social media monitoring of platforms like Snapchat, Telegram, Kik, Skype, Tinder, Line, Viber, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp as well as text messages even if they have been deleted.

Using EyeZy is a great way to track someone's location on Google maps, but it does not give users the ability to activate cell phone cameras or turn on the microphone. While these two abilities may not be necessary if you just need basic tracking capabilities, it is worth considering if being a bit more user-friendly is worth giving up knowing a little bit more.

Free Alternatives

There is a way to track a cell phone location for free using google maps without them knowing if you only need tracking information on the target and can accept the risk of being discovered.

You can use Find My Device on Android or Find My iPhone on iOS, which will allow you to tracking without the person knowing if you have knowledge of their login credentials.

However, doing this can cause an alert to be sent to their phone, particularly if 2FA authentication is enabled, so should not be used unless getting caught is not disastrous. Secretly enabling location sharing is also an option in limited circumstances.

How can I track someone on Google maps secretly?

You can use a spy app like uMobix, mSpy, or EyeZy to secretly access someone's location on Google maps. Each of these apps has GPS location tracking and other monitoring features which will allow you to know the target's whereabouts in real-time and keep tabs on any activities on their mobile devices.

Will they know I am tracking them on Google maps?

No. These apps are designed to be undetectable so that the target is unaware of being tracked. However, if you use Find My Device and the target has 2FA authentication enabled, an alert may be sent to their phone.

Can I see their location history on Google Maps?

Yes, all of the methods listed above will show location history to make it easier for you to know where they have been and keep track of any suspicious activities.

Legal Concerns

It is important to be aware of potential legal issues when considering how to track someone on Google maps without their permission. In some places, it may be illegal to monitor someone’s activities or track their location without their consent even if you own the mobile device being tracked. In other cases, it will only be legal if you are tracking your child or may entirely depend on who owns the phone.

Since the laws around tracking someone's location can vary so much, as sometimes relies on the smallest change in circumstances, you must consult with a lawyer before taking any action. Failure to do so may result in severe penalties for something you had logically assumed would be OK.

GPS tracking technology can be a powerful tool for monitoring and keeping track of someone, but it also carries with it certain privacy and security concerns. While tracking someone's location on Google maps may seem like an easy solution to many problems, there are still risks associated with doing so and care should be taken when utilizing this kind of technology. With proper caution and consideration, however, GPS tracking can provide users with useful information about their target without compromising their safety or privacy.
