You can also purchase the software on for $24.95 for the full license. However, you should definitely read this Clean My Mac review before you purchase.

Clean My Mac Review: Software vs. Scam?

Clean My Mac features include a variety of Mac cleaning software. The rumor that Clean My Mac is a scam is similar to the same rumors about other Mac cleaning software including MacKeeper, Norton for Mac, and etc. This rumor mostly originates from the mistaken believe that Macs can’t get viruses, and any Clean My Mac review stating that the software is a scam is not to be believed. It’s a legitimate company offering a legitimate product that works.

Clean My Mac Features

This Clean My Mac review covers a full list of program features and functions. Clean My Mac claims to be the world’s most easy to use Mac cleaning tool, and on that scale it is very simple. Users can simply install Clean My Mac and run it to instantly clean Binary code, system cache, logs, languages, junk, trash, and more. Clean My Mac also features device management, quick permanent erase and extension manager while allowing for customizable appearance modifications. Currently Clean My Mac includes more than 50 features in the categories of maintenance, monitoring, cleaning, utilities, and feedback.

Clean My Mac vs. MacKeeper

Any good Clean My Mac review would compare it to its biggest competitor, MacKeeper, which is why I’m doing it now. We have two MacKeeper reviews, you can check my MacKeeper review here and also this MacKeeper reviews the newest (coming out March, 2013) version which is 2.5. Mackeeper can be purchased for $39.95 and offers system cleanup as well as a Mac Antivirus. While it doesn’t offer quite as many cleaning tools as Clean My Mac, it offers protection from Mac viruses, can be used to back up a computer, and features a shredder. Personally I think that any time MacKeeper is compared to Clean My Mac, MacKeeper will win simply because of the antivirus, however; there are still valid reasons to purchase Clean My Mac.

Should I Purchase Clean My Mac?

Last but not least, the Clean My Mac review comes down to the question of whether or not you should purchase the software. First, you should ask yourself a few questions. Do you know how to clear your cache and empty your drives, delete binary code, or etc.? Do you already have a Mac Antivirus or do you still have to purchase one? How often do you use your Mac? If you frequently use your Mac for gaming, power use your computer for work or etc., or already have an antivirus, Clean My Mac is a great purchase for you. If you don’t already have an antivirus, you might want to go with MacKeeper which will clean your computer and protect it from viruses.

CleanMyMac costs $14.95 for a 6 month license so you can try it out without investing too much money. The lifetime license for one mach is $49.95 and the lifetime license for 5 macs is $79

You can purchase it or download the free version to your computer and run a free scan to see how much junk you have on your computer.

Do you have a cleaner for your Mac? If so, which one? Do you think an antivirus for Mac is necessary? Studies show that more than 80% of Mac users are still unprotected, despite the high rise in Mac viruses but that is sure to change. Other programs like Cleanmymac are also rising in popularity due to users wanting faster, and cleaner computers.

Clean My Mac is a great program that you can use to speed up your computer, get rid of junk and useless files, and remove any unnecessary code.
